American Tap Water

Goal

The primary objective of the project was to raise awareness about the critical issues surrounding the aging water infrastructure system in the United States. By bottling tap water from different cities across the country, the project sought to spark conversations and shed light on the challenges faced by communities without access to clean and safe tap water.

Solution

The American Tap Water project creatively addressed the challenge by designing a set of three bottles inspired by the water infrastructure system, each representing tap water from different cities. The bottles featured color pipes corresponding to the unique water sources, capturing attention and sparking conversations. The labels, reminiscent of chemical bottles, visually conveyed the importance of water quality and the challenges faced by aging infrastructure. With a touch of authenticity, the bottles were presented in a wooden crate spray-painted black. The thoughtful design choices effectively communicated the message while engaging the audience in a memorable and impactful way.

I see design as a language that goes beyond aesthetics. It has the power to transcend cultures, evoke emotions, and convey meaning with clarity and elegance.
